At Starlight Childrenâs Foundation Australia we believe in positive distraction because happiness matters.
Starlightâs vision is a future where every child has a happy childhood and this drives our mission, to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and young people. When illness steals the joy away. Starlight is there to bring it back, to help a child to cope with the pain and stress of illness.
This is why we deliver programs such as Captain Starlight who visits children in wards and in our Starlight Express Room, a place where children can be free to play and have fun. Along with our Wishgranting program that allows children to have a once in a lifetime experience to help bring the joy back to their lives.
For over 30 years we've worked in partnership with health professionals in major metropolitan, regional and rural hospitals to bring the fun, joy and laughter that helps sick kids be kids.
