Heys guys. So for those that don't know me, I've been studying Mandarin for 11 years, lived in China and Taiwan for 2.5 years and went to university in Shanghai.
China's been a big part of my life wherever I have been and much of that passion has been channeled into these Youtube videos I make. Often they require intensive labour to scour through Chinese and English books and create the original kind of content you want as well as spending on a variety of operational costs. This is all while most of my videos instantly get demonetized for whatever reason.
At times I have fantasized about being the kind of creator that makes click baity content like going around China town and speaking Chinese to random people on the street for shock value.
Other times I have thought about acquiescing to the advice of friends and making short, snippy content fit for the Youtube algo while I promote Clash of Clans.
Perhaps to my own detriment I decided to keep up making the kind of videos that you see on this channel and if your here reading this, its probably because you also resonate with these kinds of videos.
I wanted to open up the opportunity to allow those who were interested in contributing to the production value of this channel. My aim is to provide you better content on a more frequent basis. So instead of every 3 or 5 months, I can make high quality videos for you every week.

Hey hows it going guys! I'm thinking once every two weeks of getting my ugly mug on camera and doing a live stream for fun. I want to get in touch with you guys and get some good banter going and of course chat about China stuff. Anything is on the table; ancient history, modern history, politics, economy, covid. Feel free to ask me any question and I'll give you some good info dumps. But we'll see how many people are interested. If/when this post gets 50 likes, I'll announce when it'll be and seeing how it goes I'll make it a regular thing.
