When Hashim Ahmedani came to the United States a dozen years ago, encounters with local law enforcement shaped his future. My dad had the gas station in Cartersville Georgia and I had heard in Pakistan that when you call911 and the police arrives within a minute or so.I had that perspective, and I seen Bartow County sheriff’s vehicles and these Bartow County deputies in uniform.
After completing high school and gaining his U.S. citizenship Ahmedani worked eight years for Chattahoochee Technical College’s Department of Public Safety before joining the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.
