This Friday Sept 6 we’re releasing a session we recorded named ‘Infrared’.
This was a fully improvised recording of drums, sax and taishokoto in a studio wired with overwhelming reverb pumping back at us. The recording was also captured in a beautifully processed film shot by Lisa Wormsley.
For the artwork, our collaborator Vincent de Boer provided an image to accompany the recording

Ill Considered formed in 2017, after Emre Ramazanoglu and Idris Rahman were motivated to try a new, fully improvised project with drums, bass, sax, and percussion. The first jam they recorded was then mixed and mastered in the same 24 hours and became the band’s first album. Their DIY approach led to nine albums, recorded live and in the studio over three years. They built a strong following, as well as the respect and admiration of many of the leading lights in the UK jazz scene. In 2020 they entered into a partnership with the New Soil to release their full catalogue onto streaming platforms. In 2021 they released 'Liminal Space', adding Liran Donin on bass expanding their improvised approach to include multiple guests. 2024 sees the release of their followup album 'Precipice'; a return to a stripped down trio setup, everything recorded live in single takes. The band continue to push genre boundaries while staying true to their improvisational roots - locked in a telepathic groove.
