The Kottayam Mixed Voices
In 1985, the seed of choral music was sown in a group of young men united by faith and love for church music, forming The Kottayam Men's Voices at CMS College, Kottayam. Guided by a passionate director, their harmonies of bass and tenor resonated across the town. Within two years, they grew into The Kottayam Mixed Voices, embracing all vocal tones and elevating their music to new heights.
Over three decades, their dedication, faith, and sheer hard work have nurtured this small plant into a flourishing tree. Their performances became cherished events, evolving from a cappella to instrumentals, solos, and quartets, captivating audiences at prominent venues.
Today, under the leadership of Prof. Abraham C. Mathew, they continue to inspire, bringing joy and nostalgia to listeners worldwide through recitals and recordings. May their music forever glorify the Lord!
