Hi all! This is not a post I would like to be making here.
A few weeks ago we found out my dad had a stroke and a heart condition that would require open heart surgery.
While the surgery was more intense and complicated than originally thought he has made it out the other side doing very well (all things considered).
Some of you may have noticed that I’ve been missing uploads and posting short recaps of older videos over the past few weeks as we’ve been dealing with this behind the scenes.
I will likely be posting less frequently on Youtube and Linkedin for a few weeks as I help him recover at home.
It’s my hope to make more helpful content for you all soon!
Thank you for your understanding! We feel so blessed that is doing well!

Happy Salesforce Saturday!
It’s no secret that I really love certifications. They are a great stamp on top of your experience or to show that you’ve gained the necessary knowledge to pass!
This recently got me thinking about the most underrated Salesforce Certifications.
In your opinion what are the most underrated certifications, and why?
I’ll go first! 👇
The Salesforce Business Analyst Certification is really underrated.
You learn a lot of the ‘unspoken’ rules of software project management that would typically be learned through trial and error on the job.
This also shows you how to ask questions to elicit the ‘why’ of product requests and saves a lot of time and frustration between teams.
What’s your most underrated certification?

I’ve taken the past few weeks off of LinkedIn and I’ve focused a lot on my health goals!
Last week I ran my first 5k in about 8 years!
(📸: pic from the end of that 5k)
Here’s 5 things I’ve learned about Salesforce (and Salesforce career space) during the past few weeks of training:
1. It’s okay to take a break!
Salesforce is not the be-all-end all of life. Taking a step back can really help you gain a greater perspective on where you want your life and career to go!
2. Goals are so, so important!
Without goals you have no where to go! I’m very aggressive with my goals and really ponder where I want to go and how to get there through my goals! Taking the time to set meaningful targets and their corresponding milestones will really supercharge you!
3. It’s okay to change targets!
Earlier this year my goals were to up the content I released on Udemy, the Salesforce Emily channel, and Salesforce upskill. Then family dynamics with kids changed and I needed to readjust my goals. Running and lifting has really been a lifesaver!
4. Rest is productive!
Constantly running to the next certification, or the newest features can result in burn out! Take some time for your mind to reset and retain what you’ve learned!
5. Slow and Consistent progress is still progress!
I walked a little less than half of the 5k, but I still finished before my target pace! In the past year I haven’t spent as much time on Salesforce and Salesforce content as I’ve wanted to or liked, but I’ve still picked up a certification or two and learned a lot!
I hope you can take something from what I’ve learned and apply it to your life!
I’m also hoping to be a little more active on LinkedIn, YouTube, and course creation in the next few weeks as school ramps up and we get back to normal scheduling!
Thanks for all your patience as I take longer to get back to messages and working on getting you the best Salesforce resources possible!

Hey Friends! I had an idea tonight while studying for a cert. Would you guys be interested in a vlog-style video of my studying for a certification? Additionally, doing a live study with me. Let me know in the poll!

🚨Update post! 🚨
Hey Friends!
First of all thank you for 21,000 subs. I really love every milestone we hit! It might seem like a small one but I’m still super grateful!
Second, the uploads here have been super sparse for the last month. Or a lot less than I would normally like (I would love to run 2-4 uploads a week).
We currently have a very colicky baby and I’ve run out of my previously recorded videos from before we had her.
We really hope to be back uploading consistently soon when we can get some more sleep 😅
I promise I haven’t forgotten about this channel!
Thanks for all the support
