Do you believe psychedelic therapy should be approved and available everywhere? Psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine therapy?

YOU HAVE TO HAVE FUN IN LIFE AND ESPECIALLY RECOVERY! These are 2 of my best friends for over 20 years! They're both huge ‪@buffalobills‬ fans and make a Bills pump-up song every year. They're both incredibly talented!

Check out the production of this video it's off the charts. ‪@captivatemediainc‬ If you look closely you'll also see me jammin in the background as an extra hahah.

I'm a ‪@MiamiDolphins‬ fan but I got love for the Bills. They're the Buffalo/Rochester hometown team, and I played in their stadium twice during states in high school.

Super happy to support 2 of my brothers who have been there for me at the worst of times.

Imagine waking up every day and spending every waking moment in this single cell. Shower in the cell, eat in the cell, read in the cell, exercise in this cell (if you can get past the daily depression and psychosis), go to the bathroom in the cell, everything. Once that door closes it stays closed for months sometimes years.

Solitary Confinement was brutal. Being in the box caused me more mental damage and pain than any other experience in my life.

This picture is of a NYS solitary confinement cell. Same cell I spent 12 months and 25 days in. The only major difference is that the bars were removed over the door and window in this picture. The amount of light coming in is double what it is in real life, with giant bars covering the door and window.

When they say 23/1, inmates get an hour outside every day to exercise and move around, THAT'S A BLATANT LIE. Our 1 hour of recreation is when that door behind the bed opens for an hour and your 7-10 cell turns into 7-14 cell for one hour. That's your recreation. They don't bring you outside, no socializing, no basketball, just a few more feet on your cell.

I must have circled that cell 20,000 times talking to myself, singing songs, and yelling to the inmate next to me through the vent.

Many people think violent offenders are in solitary, these guys must have attacked a guard or started a fight, but 75% of the time that's not true. Up to 75% of the men, women, and teens in solitary across the US at any given time are in solitary for non-violent prison infractions.

-SMOKING IN AN UNAUTHORIZED AREA
-ALTERED CLOTHING
-BEING LATE TO YOUR JOB OR PROGRAM
-TAKING BACK TO A GUARD OR WORKER
-FAILING A DRUG TEST

These are just some of the infractions people are sent to solitary for every single day. I take full responsibility for breaking the law and going to prison, but solitary is a different animal. It makes people worse. These men and women are going to be released one day, do we want them in a better mental place than when they got arrested or a worse place?

I saw this image about losing yourself during addiction. It really hit home. The desperation on the guy's face with the pile of drugs in front of him and the pills sitting there says it all...

The other piece of this picture that is upsetting and incredibly accurate is the ghost of the woman in the doorway. Some may view it as another addict but to me, it's our friends and family losing themselves trying to help us. During addiction, I became estranged from most of my family and friends and this is dead accurate seeing them fade out of my life.

What do you see in this image?

VAPING IS KILLING ME...
WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ON VAPES?

I've used nicotine for about 20 years now in various different forms, cigarettes, chew, pouches, and vapes.

Yea, vaping is definitely better than cigs in my opinion, and it's helped some former smokers I know get off cigs, in that sense, it's a positive. But for all the people who didn't smoke and just started vaping, I believe it's an overall negative in many ways.

When I smoked cigs I felt it in my lungs the most. It was crazy after switching from cigs to vape within about 10 days I could actively feel my lungs clearing up and didn't get out of breath going upstairs.

I switched to chewing so I could stay in the best shape possible for football, I didn't want to be out of breath chasing down a running back. It was hard not to chew when half of my football team and half the coaches chewed.

I switched to vaping after prison because the SMELL, YELLOW TEETH, AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH caused by cigs drove me nuts.

Since I have been vaping (5 years), I've really started to DIG INTO AND ACCEPT THE MENTAL DESTRUCTION VAPING CAUSES ME.

I never smoked a cig in my bed at night, I never hit a cig nonstop at work, at my house, or in the bathroom. THIS DAMN VAPE IS ATTACHED TO MY HAND.

I get lightheaded, tired, dry mouth, and general lethargic feeling every single day when I vape. Doesn't matter about the vape or nicotine levels, I've tried them all. Lower nicotine levels cause me to hit it more.

Lets also not forget how much of a complete waste of money nicotine in all forms is...

DO YOU HAVE ANY MENTAL EFFECTS FROM VAPING THAT YOU NOTICE? OVERALL VAPING MAKES ME MORE ANXIOUS, MORE DEPRESSED, EXTREMELY DRY MOUTH, AND A GENERAL ZAP IN MY ENERGY LEVEL.

ITS DEFINITELY TIME TO QUIT!

My family and I at the @RedHotChiliPeppers concert a few weeks ago! When I first started my recovery journey, going to events like concerts was really tough. There’s often a lot of drinking, and sometimes people are getting high, which made it challenging to be around.

I was taught early on to protect my sobriety at all costs because without it, everything else falls apart. That advice has proven 100% true in my recovery.

But as time went on, and I did the internal work to understand the root of my addiction—why I used so many drugs in the first place and what I was trying to escape—it became easier to attend these kinds of events.

Now, I feel confident and comfortable going almost anywhere, as long as I'm in a good place mentally. If I’m not feeling right, I simply won’t go. Setting these boundaries has been crucial in rebuilding my life and protecting my sobriety.

What boundaries have you had to set to protect your recovery? And even for those not in recovery, we all have to set boundaries to create the best life.
