I personally benefited from male privileges before my transition and willingly gave them up. I was proposed to twice. Giving up those privileges allowed me to live authentically as my true self, and I would do it all over again if given the opportunity. It was a liberating and empowering experience that brought me closer to my own identity. Embracing my true self brought me a sense of fulfillment and happiness that I had never experienced before. I am grateful for the opportunity to live my life authentically and true to myself. The rumor that transgender individuals transition for attention, to feel sexy, or to be wanted is false in my case.
