YAI, as one of the largest intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) service providers in the United States, has a powerful and influential voice among elected officials to advocate on behalf of people living with I/DD and their families. Our goal is to expand the rights, benefits and protections of the people we serve and our employees who support them. Our self-advocates amplify the lived experiences and voices of people with disabilities and their specific needs.
