Most people, that walk into the store that you're working in will already own jewelry of some kind. Now make it a priority to compliment them on the jewelry they have on. Especially if you love that piece, it might go something along these lines.
"Wow that is a beautiful diamond ring now, normally I find most people that own a piece of jewelry like that have quite an interesting story behind it. Would you mind sharing that with me?"
Most people are always going to say yes, absolutely!
After the person tells you that story, You now know why that person has already purchased jewelry in the past. Now itβs down to you to connect that information and create a new reason why they could purchase something today or in the near future from you that will create a new story or add to the current story.
(Don't reinvent the wheel find out why they own something similar)
