Assala Mostafa Hatem Nasri, born May 15, 1969, in Damascus, Syria, is a renowned Syrian singer known for her powerful voice and emotional depth. She is the daughter of esteemed composer and singer Mostafa Nasri, who nurtured her talent from an early age. Assala began singing at age four, performing patriotic, religious, and children’s songs, including the theme for the animated series Hekayat Alamiyah. After her father’s passing, she took on the responsibility of caring for her siblings alongside her mother. In 1991, she launched her commercial career with Law Ta'rafou, featuring emotional hits like Ya Sabra Yana and Samehtak Ketir. Her success quickly placed her among top Arab stars. To date, Assala has released over 22 albums, solidifying her place in the Arabic music scene. She was awarded Best Arab Singer by Dear Guest Awards in 2017. Today, Assala remains one of the most influential voices in Arab music.
