In April 1983, they debuted as Kiyotaka Sugiyama & Omega Tribe with "SUMMER SUSPICION". They released five original albums and had hits such as "Kimi no Heart ha Marine Blue" and "Futari no Natsu Monogatari NEVER ENDING SUMMER".
After Kiyotaka Sugiyama & Omega Tribe disbanded, he made his solo debut in May 1986 with "Sayonara no Ocean," which sold 200,000 copies, followed by a string of hits including "Mizu no Naka no Answer," "Kaze no Lonely Way," and "Boku no Ude no Naka de".
As one of his solo activities, he has been performing a wide range of music throughout the year, from "acoustic live" guitar performances to large hall concert tours (with a full band) and live house appearances for his fans throughout Japan.
In 2023, he will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his debut with Kiyotaka Sugiyama & Omega Tribe.
