As you all continue to fill my subscriber list with your lovely selves, I am reminded about gratitude. I have been through mental and emotional hell traversing this world of stand-up comedy: Bookers talking smack about me behind my back and preventing me from getting work with headliners, hundreds of submissions and being told “no” on almost all if them, and completely being ignored by the industry and people I thought were in my corner…all of this regardless of how hard I killed on stage, how hard I worked, or how kind I was…
Yet I am grateful for you…the people who find humor and joy in what I do. Often we focus on what we haven’t accomplished instead of what we have, and we struggle with instructive thoughts of failure. But the key is to fail forward, never backward! All I have ever wanted to do is be a full-time touring comedian, and every time one of you subscribes to me, you bring me one step closer to that goal 🙏 thank you so much
