2019 - I did my first office internship at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. ❤️

I know how hard it is to find good internships as a college student, we try almost everything possible and still don't get the profiles we desire!

Here are top 3 ways of finding great internships that suit your profile -

1. College Fairs -

We often talk about everything else but not this. Not many colleges have fairs but the ones that have keep it open for everyone else too. I got my internship from a college fair itself.

Try them out they are a game changer. 💯

2. Internship Platforms -

Yes many of them are consisting of mostly BD roles but if that's the case then you're not looking at every place. There are many lesser-known platforms - Google them once and you'll find great ones.
(I frequently share them on my Instagram as well)

3. Linkedin and Cold-Networking -

This won't happen with random messages to random people asking them for roles and vacancies, it will never happen like this.

Then? 💡

Have a great resume and a top-notch Linkedin profile that's the number one priority for a decent role.
Once that's done start to engage and post which makes you more established and credible.
Then form conversations with professionals rather than asking for a job. Once you form a good connection then ask them if there are any vacancies.

I hope this list really solves the large-scale problem of college students.

Juggling family, personal goals, and a bootstrapped company at 19 was tough!

Here's what helped me the most - HARMONY

How?

Let me break it down for you ⬇️

1. ✅ Prioritize like a Pro: Harmony taught me to sort my priorities. Figuring out what matters in family, personal goals, and the startup helped me stay sane.

2. ✅ Chat it out: Keeping the fam, my goals, and the company team in the loop was game-changing. Clear communication became my superpower.

3. ✅ Flexibility is a flex: Harmony comes with being flexible, which helps me to navigate unexpected twists in all areas of life.

4. ✅ Me-time matters: Harmony reminded me to carve out some 'me-time', keeping my mind and body in top-notch shape.

5. ✅ Learn to Delegate: Trusting others to play their part lightened the load and brought a harmonious flow to everything.

Remember, harmony isn't about perfection.

It's about finding a balance that works for you 🚀.

I know it’s 31st!

I know some of your friends might be planning to go out tonight.
Some might have even left the city to enjoy with their families.
Some doing house parties etc!

I know some of you will compare your new year plans with them and get upset!
“Aghhh I can’t go out!”

But trust me even if you’re not going out tonight or tomorrow it’s absolutely fine! Don’t let social media influence you all the time.

Sleeping on time on 31st is okay!
Spending time with your family watching award shows or any other movie is fine!
Connecting with your friends over video calls is equally beautiful.

Love your life because it’s still a dream of many ❤️

Happy New Year to all ❤️

“9 to 5 is a TRAP.”

How often have we come across this? 🧠

Doing a job doesn’t make you wealthy, it’s slavery, it won’t take you anywhere, it’s worthless etc etc! Post covid internet has been full of these lines! ⬅️

This has lead to a common misconception - jobs are pathetic, businesses are great!

The point is businesses have their own disadvantages too! We need not demean one to make the other better. Rather give practical advices on how to make one’s life better in either of the scenarios. 💯

Finally the key to happiness is doing what you like and overall not demean the jobs because eventually the employees are the ones who run the company ❤️

What people do for their families is mind-boggling 🤯

Recently I travelled to Malaysia and took accommodation in a hotel. 🏨

I used to go out for a walk post dinner around 10-11pm and on the second day I came across a guard standing at the entrance. I went to greet him and he was kind enough to have a conversation with me. ⭐️

He works every day of the month! Takes 0 holidays and has his shifts from 7 at night till 7 in the morning. He was from Nepal, he told.

So my obvious question was how often does he meets his family! His answer blew my mind. 🤯

He said he has two kids whom he has not met since the last 2 years! He visits his country once in 3 years because travel is very expensive. He lives in a small rented place near the hotel in Malaysia with 4 people in one room.

He spends nothing on leisure or luxury, works in Malaysia because pay is good and it helps his kids to go to school without fail. 💯

We go to these college events, Ted talks etc but believe me some stories have more sacrifice, more pain and are an epitome of love and care.

Can we ever repay the sacrifices of our parents? I don’t think so but kudos to this man and to many other people giving up their pleasures to support their family ❤️

“But how do I know where my interests are or what do I want to do in my life?”

This is such a common question that nearly every 16-25 year old has! The major issue with this question is -

- Overthinking
- Lack of Action

Many people do not practically understand how things work or do not try to start with anything at all but just keep on researching! (Reason why many people also end up changing their fields)

2 years back I never would have thought that I’d consistently make content on multiple platforms! But I started doing it without much overthinking and over a period of time loved doing it and hence continued. 💯

So what can we do to fight this issue?

1. Action - All the planning and research is useless if we don’t take any action towards it.

2. Learn to fail - Many people are afraid of failure and hence don’t start. Learn to embrace them especially at a young age.

3. Cut Outside Noise - Many times we look for the answers that we have within us. If you can different people the same question you’ll always receive different answers so this will only confuse you more. Learning during the process is most fruitful.

Let me know what you think about it ⭐️
