Mayflies are out and about here. These are very large mayflies and I keep finding them on my porch at night. Cool little sight as they won't be around long I believe.

Happy late mother's day. Thought I'd share this mother spider with her young atop her abdomen.

Sorry about the confusion here. This is actually not a monarch and actually a different butterfly mimic called the viceroy. The picture on the right, (not my own), shows a monarch on top and a viceroy on bottom. A horizontal black line is distinct on the bottom wing of the viceroy which is the best difference used to identify them. More on a video I'm posting tomorrow! Again, the ID is my bad.

For all who wish to pursue the hobby of arthropod collection. I have a few helpful tutorials and tips for catching, preserving, pinning, and displaying insects and arachnids on this channel. I hope we can build an eye catching collection together as the channel progresses so to all watching my first videos, please hang with me as the channel evolves and becomes an informational butterfly of content. Show your support and subscribe to let me know to keep you all posted. Hit all notifications so you can be the first to see my videos, and be sure not to forget to like each video, because it tells YouTube my content is worth promoting and hopefully we can attract even more wonderful aspiring viewers like moths to a porch light. (A great place to search for many types of night dwelling bugs by the way) Thanks for reading a bit about the channel and myself, and I'll see you all out in the field!
