An honest sitdown.
I've been thinking of a number of ideas to not necessarily "refresh" the channel, but turn it into a more.. Approachable and professional standpoint.
As always, I would like to hear you (the subscriber) and your opinions on the suggested ideas I have.
The suggested ideas go as follow:
- Dropping the "Raildriver" moniker entirely, since the Raildriver name itself is a registered trademark of P.I. Engineering (the creators of the Raildriver Desktop Cab Controller)
- Unlisting/privating all non-railroad related videos regardless of view count or popularity
- Unlisting/privating videos that have low viewership or were generally not received well by the community
- Switching all further livestreams to Twitch.tv where it will be more laid back and not constrained to trains
- Creating a second YouTube channel focused solely on non-railroad related videos (incl. reuploads)
Of course, there's the "scorched earth" option which is ignoring subscriber input and making changes as I see fit.
Or, there's always the option of doing nothing and leaving it as is.
As I've said before, I want to hear from YOU! So please, tell me what you think or wish to suggest. I will do my best to respond to all posts.

Once I get some final footage, there will be an upcoming premiere for a video that more or less has been 10 years in the making.
Let's just say it's a compilation of trains at a location you've probably become familiar with.
There'll be footage you've seen, plus videos that didn't make the cut, and videos shot specifically for this project.
Current runtime is looking at an hour and a half, so I'll try to schedule it at a time that is suitable, likely mid-afternoon or early evening.

Why you won't see a video about UP 1111...
I decided to go out despite the dense fog and made it to Erie, Michigan with about 5 minutes to spare. I set up a shot, tried my best to focus on the subject but despite my best efforts it came out very poor. I used some effects in Sony Vegas to "enhance" the image but it was still out of focus.
I was hoping to catch it in Walbridge with better lighting but after waiting two hours, it never showed up. Turns out it never made it to Walbridge and was parked at Stanley by 6:00am.
I try my best to put out quality content, and this is unacceptable by my standards.

As you may or may have not noticed, I've decided to ditch the "railD" watermarking seen in a number of my videos.
Frankly I think it's intrusive and (in my opinion) unprofessional.
We'll see how things go from here.

As you may or may have not noticed, I have taken the liberty to unlist/private a handful of videos that I don't feel are worth watching anymore or showing to an audience.
It'll probably my only cleanup of content this year.
