I have lost touch with my guitar teacher and mentor Frank Dawson of Chicago. He passed away in 2010. I am hoping to find video footage of him playing somewhere. Anywhere. If you are familiar with Frank and his music, please share your comments and/or video footage with me on this site. Thank you very much for listening.

My new album "Evolve" will be released September 1st 2022. I hope you all will check it out.

Evolve represents the changes in music from the blues of Robert Johnson and Bessie Smith to today's hip hop, video games, and symphonic sound. It also represents how the business of music has changed from total corporate control to independent artists who do it all themselves. Finally it represents the evolution of my heritage that includes the kidnapping and rape of my ancestors to the continued and sustained poverty caused by slavery.

When you listen to music, do you see visions in your head?

I'm not a big fan of music videos, because most that I've seen do not come close to the feelings and visuals a particular song sparks in my imagination. When MTV came around I thought that it was the worst thing to happen to music. On the other hand I have to admit Michael Jackson's "Thriller" got me watching, but it didn't take long after that everything went back to mediocre. What do y'all think?
