Mini photo dump from this weekend in NYC!
1. Our favorite Swedes @OskarandDan were in town so we had a great dinner at @udonlab_nyc in Koreatown!
2. Ella and I went to an advanced screening of @Minions Despicable Me 4. Thanks to @universalpictures for the invite! It's such a fun movie so be sure to check it out when it opens next weekend!
3. In this NYC heat wave, going to the movies is the only form of entertainment I'll leave the house for 😅. It was our first time at IPIC Fulton Market in South Street Seaport and wow this theater is incredible! It's a dine-in theater with a full menu, servers and everything. Great spot for a date night!
4. We went to the world premiere of "Bonnie and Clyde: Filmed Live on Stage" @bonnieclydelive. It's available to stream online on demand beginning today at bonnieclydelive.com. It was filmed live on London's West End back in January 2022 and features Jeremy Jordan as Clyde and Frances Mayli McCann as Bonnie. We got to hear from the cast and crew after the screening and after watching McCann speak and sing in a Texas drawl for two straight hours, I was gobsmacked that she's actually Scottish in real life. 😅 British actors really are elite at doing American accents!

Quick announcement and favor...
I’m putting the final touches on a brand-new (!) training program for travel content creators, and I’ll be opening enrollment next week. It’s in a completely new format, so I’m super excited!
But first, I need your help.
Before I finalize what’s in the lessons, I need to make sure I’ve covered everything.

Coney Island photo dump!
My favorite way to kick off summer in NYC is by enjoying some beer and clams on the Coney Island boardwalk.
It’s amazing to think that New Yorkers have been coming to this seaside amusement park for 200 years now.
It’s fun and grimy and colorful and loud and historic and there’s just no other place like it in the world.

I remember being pretty skeptical about The High Line when the project was first announced.
(You’re gonna turn abandoned cattle train railroad tracks into... a park?)
But each time I visit The High Line, it gets better and better.
I’m from Hong Kong, where the ethos is “tear it all down!” and as a result, sadly there’s very little left from decades past.
So I love when cities find ways to preserve elements of their history. Especially when they transform functional, industrial things into places the public can enjoy.
The landscaping at The High Line is nicely done of course, and I appreciate the rotation of public art pieces on display there.
But my favorite thing about the park is simply looking out over the city itself from a multitude of different viewpoints. To me, NYC, with all its grit and grime, will always be a thing of beauty.
