This is 43 and this is what I’ve learned…

That being broken is the most beautiful of all because it’s real & raw connection, in a world of fake & disconnected.

That love is an action, a commitment to a willingness to get uncomfortable endlessly in order to consistently grow deeper connection & intimacy throughout an entire lifetime.

That leaning in is a superpower.

That staying, and also staying open, even when it gets really uncomfortable, is one of the greatest gifts you can give someone.

That it is better to have loved wildly and recklessly, and then lost it all, than to exist in a mediocre, high functioning, sensible “love”.

That making a decision for yourself and then following it through (no matter who doesn’t like it) is the path to building confidence.

That then going back and re-evaluating your results and making adjustments to try next time for better results is the path to humble growth.

That allowing yourself to feel, and feel everything is the most brave and real thing you could ever decide.

That if you want an epic, magical love, you have to become it yourself.

That the loudest thoughts are part of a prison system (belief system) that keep us locked in the past victim loops of our own, or our ancestors.

That the most powerful person in the room is the one who is willing to take responsibility and knows themselves so intimately that they have the wisdom, knowledge, and experience to then shift reality.

What are you doing to practice opening your heart more?

How vulnerable are you willing to get to deepen the connection with those you love?

When things get emotional, do you lift your heart even higher, or do you close down and defend/protect?

Are you willing to find the delicate balance of strength & flexibility in your relationships, to build more love?

Do you stay curious and look for more ways to grow, no matter how long you’ve been with someone?

Are you devoted to the practice & choice of love? Or are you just going through the motions?

Where are you afraid of being “too much” or “not good enough”? Are you humble enough to communicate it?

Are you present with every breath of your life, breathing love, gratitude, and value into every interaction in your day?

When I first started practicing yoga, I had no clue that it was going to be a vehicle of radical emotional growth.

It’s been almost 8 years since I walked into a yoga studio, and of all the classes and poses I’ve experienced, this pose is one of the top 3 most impactful.

Why? How?

Double pigeon is a high sensation pose—go ahead, try it! 🤣

It’s a pose that creates an opportunity for A LOT to bubble up to the surface when you’re in it.

The first reaction is to tense up around the discomfort. To get rigid in the body. To clench. To hold on. To close down around the uncomfortable feelings. To hold your breath.

But what happens when you let your entire body and energy lean INTO it?

What is possible when you let your hips go and you melt into your seat?

What if you just make the decision to STOP clenching and just let your hips fall off your body? 😳

Freedom

Release

Spaciousness

Relaxation

Empowerment

Self belief

Now, can you HOLD that? Or will you come out of it, because it’s “too much” or “too long”?

Can you sustain the huge opening?

Can you breathe INTO it?

Can you relax even more?

Can you go even deeper, melt more into the floor?

Can you eventually even surrender your heart to the floor?

Yoga is way more than a physical thing.

It’s an opportunity to approach your life and emotions in a bigger, more calm, more stable, more resilient way.

In energy talk, it increases the masculine’s strength and stamina in the ability remain calm & stable, while the feminine feels all the feelings, and goes deeper and deeper into her heart.

(This also allows her to open & surrender more and more to the masculine, which inspires the masculine to keep growing stronger in his holding space, and now we have the perfect integration, harmony, and unity of both working TOGETHER).

It teaches emotional resilience, patience, presence, holding space, non-judgement, feeling, vulnerability, depth, and safety.

It shows you that you are capable of a whole lot more than your mind wants you to believe. (Emotionally & physically) walking is a completely different experience once you let this pose crack you open.

It is Love.

It is connection.

It is raw intimacy.

It is life.

You might love the idea of love

But are you aware of what Love requires of you?

You might want to be in partnership with an open-hearted person.

But are you aware of the embodiment required to align with that?

The idea of true love and lasting emotional fulfillment is very appealing, but few are willing to do the work on their own heart opening.

It can be painful

It can feel exposing

It can make you question your competence.

It requires discipline (devotion)

Devotion to the process of leaning in

Devotion to the choice to stay open and curious instead of becoming rigid and limiting the full experience.

Devotion to the patience/time required

Devotion to the art of the wait for the full desire, instead of giving in to instant gratification/sabotage.

Devotion to the breath-by-breath creation and mind-bending surrender.

Devotion to a tireless discipline of…

💟 focusing on the bigger picture (the higher timeline)

💟 holding the enormity of current energy/emotions in stillness/stability/silence

and the

💟 willingness to sacrifice the temporary gratification to receive the fullness of your heart’s desire.

The irony is that in the end, what is actually experienced is euphoric freedom.

Just like heart opening poses. I feel my most free and high on life, when I’m in a backbend with my heart wide open, lifting up to the sky.

We will talk more about this in my next video …

“Depth. Stillness. Time. These are the ingredients that make it work.”

This was the reminder at yin class today, but whether we are talking about yin yoga or feminine (yin) energy, it doesn’t matter…it’s very true.

The magic of the Divine Feminine is that she manifests from depth, stillness, and time.

She finds sanctuary in the depths.

She has found her emotional stability to remain calm in the stillness (instead of giving in to anxiety/sabotage/instant gratification.

She understands that the passing of time will bring her what her heart desires…

Depth

Stillness

Time

With her Divine masculine.

But she meet herself in her own depths first.

She must hold her own stillness when the self doubt, the anxiety, the negative self talk starts to roar.

She must learn to see the passing of time as abundance…abundance of time and freedom for her to delight herself, cherish herself, and lavish herself with her own abundance of love from her heart.

The Divine Feminine manifests in silence. She appears to be doing “nothing”.

But in the space of “nothing”, she is “everything”.

And in the space of “everything”, the “everything you have ever wanted” has the space to finally show up (manifest).

Feel deeply

Breathe peace into the stillness.

Allow time to wash over you.

And have it all.

“Chaos is not your resting place”

Recently, I moved into a new home, after dreaming of moving for nearly 2 years. And while I was incredibly grateful to finally be able to make this change, it was a bit crazy there for a few weeks.

I was in a temporary period of time that forced my days to be moving at a much faster pace than normal to meet the expectations & deadlines of the move, while also keeping up with my work schedule and my personal life.

I noticed how time was flying by, so fast, and it was upsetting to me. I felt like I was missing out on the aspects of life most important to me.

I noticed how life felt like one giant obligation, without intentionality and consciousness.

I noticed how I started feeling resentment in being forced to go, go, go non-stop and feeling like I had no space to stop, breathe, reconnect, and enjoy this thing we call life.

And the thing that upset me the most was noticing how life lost its magic, miracles, and connection.

If we are too busy in the chaos, in the to-do lists, in the “doing” of life, we are unable to realize the miraculous.

We don’t have the space to see the subtle unfolding of our manifestations and gifts.

There is so much meaning, so much magic, so much communication and guidance being offered at any given moment, but if we’re too busy, we will totally miss it.

“Chaos is not your resting place.” This was the reminder today in yoga class.

Allowing ourselves to move at a slower pace than “normal” is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

Because it is in the slowness, that there is lack of chaos.

And in the lack of chaos, we are able to rest & receive every delicious drop of the miraculous from the Divine.

Are you living at a pace that allows you to see & marvel at all the magic?

(If this message resonated, you may find value in my recent YouTube video, “Blink & You’ll Miss It”)

What’s fascinating me these days is the irony of the journey.

One such irony is that in releasing control, we actually find it.

It’s the eternal lesson—that once we start shifting everything internally, that that’s when everything shifts externally.

So the moment you release control of the external, you’re free to focus on the internal.

And when you focus on the internal, that’s when you gain control of yourself.

And once you gain control of yourself, how you respond to all the externals starts changing. (Including that relationship that is driving you crazy…you know which one Im talking about)

Because it’s no longer about the external.

It’s about all your attention being on maintaining the internal state of being that you desire, no matter what’s happening externally.

Which then makes things get really interesting because from this space, the external starts mirroring back to you what you’ve embodied and prioritized internally.

All because you’re responding differently.

Because you have changed your priorities from external to internal.

Which allows you to see everything differently.

Which also means you then start breaking patterns.

You start creating new beliefs

And your reality starts aligning.

All because you chose to let go of control of the externals.

Which organically shifts you into taking control of the internal.

This is surrender to the Divine.

And it feels like magic.
