I started baking bread about 7 years using a starter I created to provide healthier bread option for my family. I sell my dehydrated sourdough starter with the goal of teaching others how to make their own bread.
Sourdough is the way bread has been made for thousands of years and has many health benefits. It doesn’t contain any additives or preservatives, it is more easily digested, it’s more nutrient-rich, and some studies suggest it has a lower glycemic index.
Over the years I found joy in gifting my starter to friends. After I helped and saw my friends enjoying sourdough from my starter, I began selling it at events, local shops, and in stores. Seeing firsthand the impact that sourdough bread making has had on my family is what has inspired my mission to help others learn how to make sourdough. I love helping people learn to make bread both through classes and these videos.
