It’s another week of scorching temps here in CA, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than to go rafting! We’ll have trips departing all week on the South Fork American River (Class 3), and select dates throughout the month on Goodwin Canyon (Class 4+). Come join us!

Dropping Tunnel Chute backwards is an exciting way to wrap up rafting on the Middle Fork! Last weekend, we sent our final trips of the season on the Middle Fork American River (Class 3-4). This year was exceptional on the Middle Fork, and although it’s only been a few days, we’re already missing it. How many of you have gone down the final drop backwards??

We recently decided to do a last minute “Friends and Family” trip down the South Fork American River, where we invited guides of all generations to join us on the river. Our founder George Armstrong (who’s well into his 90’s) personally called lots of the guides, and despite the last minute nature of the trip, we had almost 100 people show up. It was a trip for the ages, and a great reunion for our AO family. Check out a few moments from the day!!

Summer may be drawing to a close, but nobody told the weather that! Looks like we’ll have another week of warm, sunny weather to raft in, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than to be out on the water. Come join us!

While many rivers only run for a short time, the South Fork American River (Class 3) runs from Early Spring, all the way through October. The river changes drastically over the course of this long season, and Fall is one of the river’s prettiest times. Have you rafted the South Fork during the Fall?

It’s all fun, games, and rapids, on the Middle Fork American River (Class 3-4)! This river will be shutting down at the end of September, meaning there’s only a few more weekends left to get out there and see what it’s all about. Join us for one of our 1, 2, or 3 day trips on this iconic river!

Just keep rafting… We’re so excited about the transition from Summer to Fall, especially since it means we can keep rafting! In the latest edition of the AO Enews, we take a look at what’s happening over the next two months, and what you can expect from rafting this fall. Oh, and yeah, we’re still giving away a FREE rafting trip each month, to one of our lucky subscribers. Sign up, and you’ll be entered to win automatically, every single month of the rafting season. The infamous Tunnel Chute rapid!! This epic Class 4 drop is all about the setup. Once you enter the rapid, paddling won’t get you very far, so each raft must work together as a team up top to get lined up perfectly. From there on out, it’s get down, hold on, and have fun!

The Tuolumne and Cherry Creek may be finished, but we still have trips for all skill levels available all Fall!

First up (slide 1) is the South Fork American River (Class 3), which is perfect for beginner and intermediate rafters. The next step up (slide 2) is the Middle Fork American (Class 3-4), which is a great run for intermediate rafters.
Finally, this October will bring the return of the infamous Goodwin Canyon (Class 4+, slide 3). It’s a bucket list river for any serious rafter, and only runs a few weekends each year.

See you on the river!
