After a long day of shopping in Johor Bahru, Tebrau City, I was feeling really hungry and just wanted a comforting meal before heading back to Singapore.

While walking around, I stumbled upon Oiso Korean Restaurant and decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I found out that they serve authentic Korean dishes, and the restaurant is owned by a Korean who has been living in Johor Bahru for over a decade. The food was absolutely delicious, and the flavors were so impressive that I just had to share this gem with you all! If you're in the area, definitely check it out for a true taste of Korea.

One afternoon, I found myself with a few hours to spare between appointments in the city. Instead of aimlessly wandering around, I went to Marina Food Hall.

There were dedicated sections for meats, vegetables, seafood, sushi, desserts, fruits, and more. With such a diverse spread, I was spoiled for choice, and my short buffet session turned into a delightful experience. If you love savory and spicy flavors, especially Chinese cuisine, Fat Bird Chicken Hot Pot (่่้ธก) is good to try! I had a meal with about 5 people, and the bill came to less than $100 โ we didnโt expect that, but it was a pleasant surprise. The portions were huge, and the experience was both delicious and fun. Plus, it's super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Bugis MRT, near Liang Seah Street, which is bustling with restaurants at night. Definitely worth bringing some friends for a hearty meal!

Had a chitchat over hot chocolate and coffee with a friend at Coffee Donkee which is super cozy spot over at Haji Lane, and I have to say, itโs such a chill vibe here.

What truly stood out to me were the incredible flavors. The fish tastes amazing, with options for both fried and baked preparations. If you prefer a healthier choice, the baked fish is a great pick. For me, though, the fried small bites stole the showโthey're coated in irresistible powders like original, seaweed, salted egg, mala, and truffle. My personal favorite is the seaweed flavor!
