The artist Milena ZeVu presents the video work Silent Supper to the public for the first time, in a retrospective hosted in the historic Venetian district of Castello in Venice from April 17th till November 24th 2024, in Venice. The exhibition, curated by Nina Vagic, will be inaugurated on April 17th at the exhibition space located at 994 Fondamenta S. Anna, Venice.
Set 60 years in the future, Silent Supper unfolds as an evocative 10-minute video work. Born as a live recording of a performance the artist carried out in 2023, the project explores the implications of advanced Artificial Intelligence on human existence. The represented year is 2084, and the video focuses on the depiction of a dining table. The artist appears in a choral action surrounded by 11 performers who, along with her, participate in a dinner, remaining completely silent throughout.
