āOn The Insideā has 12 tracks we recorded between 2021-22. We just made music we enjoyed and didnāt worry too much about what would or wouldnāt suit the vibe of the album til afterwards. Once weād recorded a decent pool of material to choose from, the process felt more like teenage years making tape/minidisc compilations and getting the tunes in just the right order to flow nice. Quite a few tunes didnāt make the cut for this album - not even because we didnāt rate them but because we couldnāt find anywhere for them to fit in. Also, there were a couple gaps in the tracklist where we felt we needed a tune of a certain vibe to slot in, and wrote something to suit (āFuegoā came about like this).
