I live in Brooklyn and have a background in theatre performance. For over 16 years, I've dabbled in experimental music and video. Around 1997, influenced by Pierre Henry's "Interieur Exterieur", I purchased a reel-to-reel tape recorder, theremin, sampler and microphone and began making sound collages. Subsequently, I began learning musical instruments and theory. I was also making experimental video shorts with a consumer camcorder inspired by everything from Godard to Brakhage to Patrick Bokanowski to Craig Baldwin.
Most of my work draws on a DIY, outsider art aesthetic. I like 90's east coast hip-hop, musique concrete, field recordings, ambient, post-rock, oud and gamelan music. I like using found footage and some of my music videos have been painstakingly articulated over the span of 6 months.
