I found a new food rescue program Market On The Move. "We spend our days rescuing produce, dry, canned or packaged goods. It could be the time in the growing season for abundance, the overstock, over or under sized, too ripe for shipping, etc. We transport, sort and fill our coolers, then offer to share with our partners, other organizations and the public."
The donation cost is $10.00 for up to 60lbs of products. I'm trying this next week.

Stay tuned for my $75.00 Grocery Haul/Shop With Me Kroger and Albertsons Video, I'm uploading now. I went to both stores today 03/05/25 to get a baseline reality check on everyday groceries. I wanted to document prices on items I think alot of Americans buy, on day one of the tariffs, so that I can compare prices in the future. I haven't walked all this aisles of a store in a very long time. I usually buy sale items, rarely paying full price for anything. To say the least I was flabbergasted at the costs. Will prices go up? Will they go down?

Fry's/Kroger have the best sale items this week. I was hoping for butter, ham, eggs etc... A girl can dream. Right? But I'm grateful for any sale items. Bacon, steaks and strawberries are the best buys, in my opinion. Egg this week are $6.00 for a dozen, if available.

A few have asked about my new lamp in the kitchen. Its a Cool Mist Humidifier/Essential Oil Diffuser from Kobodon. I purchased it from Amazon for $19.95. They sell many patterns and sizes ranging in price from$13+. It's so dry here, I run larger humidifiers in other rooms, but wanted something smaller for the kitchen. I think it also makes a charming LED nightlight.

Looking for a great read? I love the Amelia Peabody series written by Elizabeth Peters. 20 historical mysteries in the collection that will transport you to 1880s Egypt. Want-to-be Egyptographer/archeologist Amelia Peabody is enchanting and the mysteries will keep you on your toes. Without explicit content and minimal innuendo they are great easy reads. Available for free ebook or audio formats from Libby or Hoopla

F. Scott Fitzgerald and Morse hope you are all staying warm and dry. This is their little hiding place by the front door. Smart too, here they are pretty safe from predators and close enough so I can hear their meows for yum yums.

I just put in my pre-order. It will be released May 6th. Wally Lamb is a masterful storyteller the characters jump off the page. His books often examine challenging real life and sensitive subject matter.
My favorite Wally Lamb book is Couldn't Keep It To Myself a collection of stories from imprisoned women in the United States. Yes, the stories are heart wrenching but also filled with hope for the future. I checked and his books are available on Libby (library app) as free e-books and most as free audiobooks.

"You're crazy." Is a phrase I often hear from friends, relatives, and well sometimes strangers. Personally, I think the "crazy" is an interpretation of my generosity of spirit and lack of inhibitions. Also, I love a bargain. I mean really love a bargain. How far will I go to save a few dollars? Well, pretty darn far. Will I find bargains? Will I stay on budget? Wait and see... Follow me on my journey to save money everyday in a kind and generous way. Welcome!
