BLACK + CREME is a music collective from South Florida. Their 2018 collaborative work gives you a sneak-peak into their EP with the single Devadatta, which mixes soulful vocals & New Orleans inspired jazz instrumentation.
“Devadatta is an enemy who tries to dethrone you, bring you down, or kill your greatness. However, the song is about how a true hero believes not in excommunicating their persecutors (The Devadatta), but in inspiring them to transform” - Rozet (lead singer)
The single is a debut for the collective BLACK + CREME and marks the beginning of a journey which reflects on Rozet’s experiences as a teenager in the music industry and challenging youth experiences encountered by members of BLACK + CREME.
