⚔️Can we say we’ll die for Jesus if we aren’t willing to live for Him now?⚔️
See, when we die for Jesus, we die once. When we live for Jesus, we die to our own sinful desires every second of every day. Jesus said that those who live for Him and die to self like this are truly alive (Mark 8:35).
Paul understood the assignment. He proclaimed that his flesh died with Christ on the cross, saying he wasn’t the one living anymore but Jesus was living in Him (Galatians 2:20). As Christians, the Holy Spirit within us (2 Timothy 1:14) makes us alive in Christ and dead to the sins that held us captive.
So, what about us? Will we live for Christ or for ourselves? If we can’t live for Jesus today, I can tell you we probably wouldn’t be able to die for Him tomorrow.
