The plight of cashmere goats is a sad and harrowing tale. These gentle animals, bred and maintained for their luxurious undercoat, endure significant suffering throughout their lives. Cashmere wool is produced by harvesting the undercoat of goats kept as income-generating assets. These goats develop a thick coat, with their inner hair (cashmere) having very fine fibers to endure cold conditions.
In slaughterhouses, goats have their throats slit in the presence of other goats. Workers have been observed stepping on and twisting the limbs of goats while aggressively tearing out their hair using metal combs, leaving them with untreated cuts and wounds, often without veterinary care. Some workers have been seen pouring rice wine on the wounds. In some cases, workers use hammers to kill the goats, causing a slow and agonizing death. Although goats can live up to around 12 years, they are often deemed unprofitable by the age of 6 and are prematurely slaughtered for meat. As Mongolian goats age and their cashmere production decreases, they are also slaughtered for meat.
Stop contributing to cruelty, cashmere is nowhere cruelty free.

When Mother Nature gets angry, homeless animals suffer the most. Whether it's heavy rains or freezing winters, nothing drains our energy like India's hot summer. Homeless animals don't have comfy bedrooms or enough clean water. Let's all work together to help them survive this summer.

Studies have repeatedly shown that aquatic animals such as fish, lobster, prawns and shrimp do feel pain. Evolution has given animals on earth the ability to feel pain as a means of self-preservation.
The only way to ensure that you are not directly causing their suffering is to go vegan.
India supplies 40% of US shrimp after exposing slavery in Thai seafood. AP's 2015 investigation freed 2,000 enslaved fishermen. Now, Indian communities suffer from contaminated water and soil due to shrimp farming.
