Hey guys, I have an important announcement.
Iām telling you all of this because I appreciate you all and respect every one of you. I have always been open and honest with you guys ever since I started streaming. And I feel like I need to say this now more than ever.
Iām taking an indefinite break from content creating. No more lives or videos until further notice.
This is probably gonna bite me in the ass, most of you will prob forget about olā Jonesy and move on to other streamersā¦ but honestly, I truly really need to focus on my mental health. I never thought it was as bad as it was until recently. Iām starting to recognize just how not well I am. And Iām tired of it. Let me explain how Iām feeling so you guys understand:
Honestly, day by day, nothing brings me happiness anymore. Streaming, video games, onewheeling, spending time with familyāall of the things that used to make me feel happy just donāt anymore. I feel like Iām just going day by day trying to pass the time so itāll become tomorrow. I feel like doing nothing but when I do nothing I wanna do something but donāt wanna do anything. It makes no sense, I know, but thatās the thought process.
The fun, positive, and energetic Jonesy you all know is fading away. And I canāt let that happen. I need to fix me. I honestly have been struggling with this for about a year now. It comes in waves. Iāll feel good for a few days and then Iāll be extremely irritable and depressed for weeks at a time. I thought this was normal for the longest time until I realized it wasnāt. I was havingā¦ thoughtsā¦ (yes, those) and thatās when I was like, āOOOKAY, that aināt normal, somethingās up.ā Donāt worry, nothing bad will happen to me. Iām just being truthful with you all.
I have a lot of addictions that I have been struggling with. (No, itās not drugs!) Iām not really comfortable sharing them with you all right now but maybe when I get past them I will share with you. Just know I have a good support system around me to keep me on track.
I spoke with my mother on the phone earlier and asked for help. We will be looking for me a therapist on Monday, so hopefully by the end of the month I will start seeing a therapist.
Also, Iāve heard that working out helps when you are depressed so I am gonna start working out at least 3 times a week to start with.
Be patient with me guys. I hope you all donāt forget about me. Iāll be gone until I feel normal again. But when I get back we will indeed be in the Jonesy renaissance! Yes, I will still be active on my Discord for the most part if yāall wanna chat it up or whatever. I may post updates to my Instagram or TikTok. Not sure yet. Just stay tuned.
I have so much content yāall can go back and watch while Iām gone. All of my streams are saved on my YouTube under a playlist titled, āLive Vodsā and all have timestamps! (Yippee!).
