Here is my answer:
Of course, all these events are significant, but the single most important historical event is the "crucifixion of Jesus Christ."
John chapter 3 verse 16 says:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The resurrection of Jesus was never in doubt. He lived a perfect, sinless life, and He knew His Father would raise Him from the dead. But without the Cross, there would be no salvation—without His sacrifice, we would all stand condemned.
John chapter 3 verse 17 reminds us:
"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
He came to save us from sin.
