In recent years, I've been spending more time in my home county of Cumbria, taking on various passion projects and creative endeavours as I rediscover the county of my birth.

Several years ago, I became aware that legendary Mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington lives less that 20 minutes away from my family home and thought he would be a fascinating person to interview.

Having recently met at Kendal Mountain Festival, I asked if he would be open to sitting down for a chat - and he all too kindly obliged, so I popped up the road to his charming cottage in the Lake District National Park for a fireside chat and photo shoot.

I could have spoken to Sir Chris for hours but hope you enjoy watching this 30 minute conversation, covering just a few aspects of his incredible life and distinguished career in the mountains.

As I've been starting out on my journey to walk the 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District National Park, one question has been on my mind ... who actually was Alfred Wainwright? So to find out more, I contacted his archivist Chris Butterfield - and got to know more about the man that made the Lake District so famous - putting together a short film to compliment my 'Walking the Wainwrights' series. 'Discovering Wainwright' is now live on my channel. Hope it's one you enjoy...

Celebrate a landmark birthday recently by taking a trip to the Arctic town of Longyearbyen in Svalbard, Norway with my parents. At 78 degrees north, it's only 1300km away from the North Pole. A truly fascinating place and a memorable family trip. I'd love to go back and explore more of this remote and harsh landscape.

New vlog now live on the channel...

Whilst I've summitted a few peaks in the Cumbrian fells over the years, I wanted to start afresh and take on the full 214 'Wainwright Challenge' this year...

There are 36 circuits that encompass all 214 peaks, which I'm aiming to complete over the coming months - filming my adventures along the way, as I discover new places in the county of my birth.

The first couple of episodes of my 'Walking the Wainwrights' series are now live on the channel ... though not everything went according to plan on the first circuit!

Perhaps you're walking the Wainwrights too, have already completed them or are thinking about giving it a go?

Either way, hopefully you find my vlogs of some interest and possibly help or inspiration wherever you are on your own Wainwright/hiking journey...

Hi everyone, I'm Cameron and I'm an adventurer, filmmaker, photographer and storyteller; with a passion for creativity and the great outdoors.

My YouTube channel is a space where I share personal passion projects - in the form of short human interest stories and documentaries - alongside travel and adventure videos & vlogs; with some playlists also showcasing the work I do with my business β€ͺ@Holmlands‬, a boutique media and events business - where we specialise in storytelling inspired by adventure.

If you've enjoyed watching the videos I've posted so far and would like to support the production of future projects, I've just set up a donation page where you can 'Buy me a Red Bull' and help fuel my next adventure!
