In an attempt to bring higher quality videos to this channel, you may have noticed that there is often multiple angles when e-bikes are evaluated. This means that I have a camera setup for filming third person and one for filming first person. On 6/18/2023, Father’s Day, I began filming an e-bike review at 7am (usually have a helper but went early solo to avoid traffic/cars). Filmed one chapter at home, the the next chapter at the hill I usually use for hill test(Redondo beach, CA). At 8:16am, I began to film the second chapter, did a throttle only test, finished, went down the hill to repeat the pedal assist test. This e-bike had gears, so I had to change into the appropriate gear for the hill, looked down for a brief moment. Began my second test, and far into the distance, I see a guy parked near my camera gear, In the middle of the street near an island, walking back to his work van, (Chevy cargo)… like magic, my camera gear was gone. I had a leofoto MT-03 tripod, a small rig cage for ZV1, peak design Leash strap, camera Sony Rx100 mark 7, and …… a bunch of footage, RIP. Lesson learned, hills are a terrible place to try to catch a thief, and catfishing thieves really works! Unfortunately I filmed some of this on my GoPro but a bit too far away to get plates.
