~ ONLINE EVENT: THIS FRIDAY 6PM UK TIME ~
Watch 'Growing up Green' live with filmmaker Maria Craig as part of a mini online Maria Craig Film Festival. A great opportunity to watch this new Findhorn documentary wherever you are in the world!

We are proud and excited to see three of our young community members share about their unique experience of growing up in the Findhorn Foundation and Community in the BBC documentary 'Growing up Green' by Maria Craig*.

Amaya Rodriguez McGregor, Chloe Watson and Jake Jay-Lewin show how the ideals, culture and lifestyle of this place have influenced their life choices. They take a look at the climate crises through the eyes of growing up in an ecovillage, where caring for the environment has always been a natural part of day to day life.

Please get your online tickets here:
www.findhorn.org/events-maria-craig/

The event is by donation.
We hope to see you there! ❤

* Maria Craig is an award-winning Scottish film-maker. She first came to the Findhorn Foundation in 1983 to join our core programme 'Experience Week' and became a regular guest. In the middle of the three-month long 'Essence of Arts' programme in 1997 her life changed forever when she felt her calling to become a filmmaker. What followed was an amazing journey to film school as a mature student and a major award. Please read Maria's Findhorn story here: www.findhorn.org/blog/growing-up-green-a-new-cop26…

Ian Turnbull designed and built the Nature Sanctuary here at Findhorn in 1986 in a single year. This round stone building, set into the hillside as if transported into real life from one of Tolkien's books, has become a symbol of the Findhorn Community's mystical connection with the nature spirits ever since. It has been a sacred place for singing, chanting and silent meditation in the community over many decades.

Thank you Rosie for the pictures of the construction of this building in 1986 and Ian Turnbull sitting inside the sanctuary in 1989.

~ Late 1970's 'Findhorn Garden Tea Break' ~
A black and white photograph lovingly coloured by Lars Runken

Thank you dear Findhorn Friend, Lars, for sharing your story with me about how your deep dive into the history of Findhorn over the last weeks nourished you and helped you recover from burnout.

Hearing how you felt like being in a free fall over the past weeks and how reading books with stories from Eileen, Peter, Dorothy, David and ROC helped you feel your feet on the ground again touched me so much.

I remember you telling me earlier this year that you made your own personal booklet with some of Peter Caddy's quotes — the ones touching you the most whilst reading his autobiography. Hearing about how you read it in your times of need for spiritual nourishment, finding your sense of trust and strength restored afterwards. What a beautiful gift!

So grateful that the legacy of those who came before us still lives on and spreads love and hope all over the planet in so many ways, shapes and forms...

With Love and deep Gratitude, Britta ❤🙏
