RC REVIEW UPDATE | Hey fellas, update here since I haven't done a video in 3+ weeks.
Basically, I went 110% on the channel during the holidays to maximize traffic and revenue during our buying season. I needed a break and my day job was suffering. Some factors:
- my day job as a mountain bike reviewer is getting in season and my bosses want results. Anyway, if you mountain bike, you probably know of my site since it's been around 25 years. www.youtube.com/channel/UC9iz...
- every video takes 4-6 hours. It's just crazy how much time it takes from scripting, editing, publishing. When I went hard at it, it's basically all I did each day. I need a more efficient model with long videos and short, basic ones.
- amainhobbies cut their commissions. I get most of my revenue from them when you buy from the links in our description. and they cut their commissions in Jan. 2021. This bummed me out a bit.
- some servo company keeps threatening to sue me since they don't like my servo review and test. I'm not caving in but it's a bummer some outfits act this way.
- stuff out of stock. Supply chain is broken (like many industries) and I review stuff but folks can't buy it since it's not in stock.
- taxes. My taxes are complicated now since I have other sources of income and I told myself I won't publish a video til I finish them. Oh well, screw that idea.
Anyway, just an update since I owe it to you guys for supporting RC Review. It's in my veins and I'll get back in front of the camera!!!!!
