Roshawn Nicole is an award-winning singer, mental health speaker, coach, and educator. She uses her music of triumph to educate and encourage her audience. In 2012, she had a near-death experience that left her in intensive care unit for 30 days. Struggling to cope with the pain of her trauma, she faced flashbacks, depression, anxiety, and addiction. At the end of 2020, realizing she was trapped in a vicious cycle, Roshawn sought professional help and entered treatment for two months. During this time, she was inspired to write her award-winning songs, "Wounded Scars," "Free,” and “Only One.” The lyrics of these songs helped her find inner strength and become an advocate for breaking the stigma of mental illness. Currently, Roshawn is seeking certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). Roshawn now shares her story and music to schools, educators, conferences, and other organizations, to empower others to make positive changes in their lives.
