Star Cassette is a synthawave act based in Stockholm, Sweden. The music genre is synthwave/retro wave/dream pop and best described as 80s influenced synth pop with big drums, synths and vocals. The nostaligic and retro feeling you will recognize from 80ās movies and TV shows like āBack To The Futureā, āBlade Runnerā, āMiami Viceā, etc.
In the spring of 2019 they were contacted by a marketing company workring with the promo campaign for Stranger Things Season 3. They asked for a custom written song to use for the āStranger Things Nordic campaignā. The song āStrangersā, inspired by ST season 3 was released in August 2019 and quickly gained a lot of interest.
