For the past 6+ months, I've had a side project running alongside my animation studio.
With lots of fear/excitement around AI tools impacting animation (and everything). I jumped in back in late 2022 to learn and keep up to date with advances that affect animation production. This led to a new YouTube Channel and website at aianimation.com.

After the widely shared shock and awe of what the various AI advances mean for all industries including the creative sector, we decided as the genie is out of the bottle the best way forward was to jump in and learn the tools, keep up to speed with the latest developments and see how we can utilise them in our own studios work.
Hopefully, down the line, I'll do some content for StartAStudio on how you could use different AI tools to help run a small studio as well as utilise different aspects in production and start (or maintain) a viable animation studio.

It's great to finally be on the otherside of a busy couple of months, with multiple client projects out the door. Freeing me up to plan and shoot some new content for the YouTube channel... and possibly a new mini animation career course soon for startastudio.com . All whilst the studio team tackle a much calmer 3 or 4 projects.

Hey, I've been a bit distracted recently so not filmed new Youtube content for a bit. Our animation studio is uber busy, we have some of the team back working in house, plus we went live with the official StartAStudio community where we had our first live video session. There's lots going on behind the scenes at Stormy Studio.
We've begun developing a new in-depth series of animation business tutorials. (To be filmed in our new film studio).
We've seen more viable enquires in the past month than ever before. Plus as the Pandemic lockdown rules are reduced in the UK we're now actively preparing to open up the doors to our new client film studio space (to compliment our animation services).
Plus Jon (Creative Director as seen in many of our YouTube videos) is being interviewed on local BBC radio this coming Monday discussing how COVID-19 has affected the industry.
Outside. of this we're really very busy with a wide variety of hand-drawn, 2D digital and 3D projects on the go.
