Join me for an EPIC rainy day adventure on the Camino de Santiago as I hike from CarriΓ³n de los Condes to Moratinos! The Meseta threw some serious rain our way, but nothing could stop the Camino spirit! π§οΈπͺ
After a long, wet trek, I arrived at Albergue San Bruno, where I finally got to dry off, wash my clothes, and enjoy an amazing pilgrim meal with fellow travelers. π½οΈβ¨

Get ready for another adventure! π As I gear up for Camino 2025, I'm also diving into editing and sharing all the fantastic photos and videos from my unforgettable journey in Camino 2024. Camino 2024 kicked off on April 2 when I took off from Chicago with Aer Lingus, and let me tell you, it was a fantastic budget-friendly choice! My first stop? The vibrant city of Dublin, where I had a quick layover before hopping on a Ryan Air flight to the stunning Biarritz, France! Once I land in Biarritz, Iβll take a bus to Bayonne, then catch the train for the final leg of my journey to Lourdes. I'll be spending two incredible nights in Lourdes before embarking on my Camino. Get ready for an amazing ride! Enjoy the adventure! ππ«

Camino Frances 2023 - Day 38, May 9. Premier tonight at 5:45! (Saturday)
Experience the culmination of my Camino Frances journey as I walk from Salceda to Barrio San Lazaro, basking in the beauty of a day that transitions from showers to sunshine. With each step, I draw closer to my destination, Santiago de Compostela, the spiritual heart of the Camino. Today's walk spans 25 kilometers of breathtaking landscapes, offering moments of reflection and gratitude for my transformative journey.
As I approach Santiago, I pause for a delicious lunch at Restaurante Pulperia, savoring the flavors of Galicia one last time. Tonight, I find rest and comfort at Albergue "Dream in Santiago," where I prepare for the final leg of my pilgrimage. I immerse myself in the local culture in the evening, sharing laughs and cheers while watching the Champions League Soccer match between Real Madrid and Manchester United at a nearby bar.
Tomorrow, I will reunite with friends and embark on the ultimate moment of our journey: a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Join me as I celebrate the completion of my Camino Frances adventure, filled with camaraderie, exploration, and profound moments of self-discovery.

Day 37 Premiers at 6 PM
Join us on Day 37 of our Camino Frances journey as we walk from Melida to Salceda. It was a great day of travel with friends from Australia, sharing stories and making memories along the way. The Trail from Sarria to Santiago was bustling with many more walkers, all on their own pilgrimage towards the final destination. We stayed at Albergue La Corona, a cozy and welcoming refuge for weary pilgrims. We indulged in delicious Pulpo at a nearby restaurant, savoring the region's flavors. As we prepare to set off for Santiago in the morning, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the final stretch of our Camino adventure. This leg of the journey presented its challenges and joys, starting with a 15-kilometer trek to breakfast, followed by a scenic walk with friends from Germany. Passing through the historic town of Sarria, known as the starting point for many pilgrims on the Camino Frances, we savored a delightful lunch before continuing our pilgrimage adventure.
