The KLR, KLR650, Pig, Mule, Thumper, Dual Sport... This is a story about our relationship with these trusty steeds, these apocalypse bikes, the never-say-die of the motorcycle world (even if Kawasaki isn't going to make them anymore). This channel covers our KLR story from the initial bike set-up, to trips, to lessons learned. Ride along as we nug our way through modifications, experience life on the road, make repairs, and find ways to improve the bikes. The goal is to have these bikes for over 100,000 mi. Why not? The title says it all about these bikes... inevitably, one will find themselves "Searching for 6th Gear."
