Michelle Aldrich-Goldstein (Minneapolis, MN) writes alternative country songs with an emphasis on personal growth and healing. She is inspired by artists of the 1970’s LA country-rock scene (Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young), alternative country artists (Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks, Jason Isbell), and artists who blend country and soul music together (Yola, Chris Stapleton, Leon Bridges).
As a child, Michelle was classically trained on the violin and piano. However, as an adult, she stopped playing music altogether to focus on a career in nursing. In late 2010, after not playing music for over 25 years, Michelle purchased a keyboard to relearn piano skills.
In 2024, she began releasing some of her original music to the public. She was a finalist in the 2024 UK Songwriting Contest, as well as a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition. While she sings on her tracks, her primary goal is to be a behind-the-scenes, non-performing songwriter.
