Would you like to learn more about the birds in your backyard?

Learning about birds around us has been a pastime that the kids and I have enjoyed together over the years.

We like to read the stories in the Burgess Bird Book for Children by Thornton W. Burgess to learn about the different birds in our area.

This year in our homeschool, I plan to use these Nature Study Bird cards to help us learn more about our feathered friends.

Included In the Bird Card Set

-83 Nature Study bird cards.
-Can be used with The Burgess Bird Book for Children. (The bird cards correspond sequentially to the characters in the book.)
-North American birds.
-One set with the name of the bird, one set without.
-Prints 22 pages of bird cards.

If you'd like to use these Nature Study Bird Cards in your homeschool, you can get your own set on the blog.

IT'S HERE!!

2025-2026 Simple Morning Time Notebook

Would you like to simplify your homeschool?

Try the 2025-2026 Simple Morning Time Notebook!

Practicing a consistent Morning Time in our homeschool has been the ticket for teaching multiple ages while also covering the beautiful subjects beyond Reading, Writing, and Math.

When I learned, as a new homeschool mom, that I didn’t have to teach each of my children individually for every subject, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders.

In Morning Time, we gather to learn the subjects that are best learned in a group setting. We observe truth, goodness, and beauty together. It is our inspiration for the day.

It’s a time that will inspire everyone in the family, including Mom!

This notebook is one of the ways we make Charlotte Mason and classical education work for our large family. I have purposely kept many selections blank (composer study, picture study, folk song, hymn study) for you to fill in.

This is the notebook our family will be using this year. I hope you will join us!

Check it out on the blog!
