happy 8th chippiversary folks! feels like now was as good a time as any to give yall an update.
to keep it brief, dont expect too much out of this channel. i know i havent even uploaded anything since basically may, and its probably gonna kind of stay that way. music is just one of my many hobbies that cycle around and sometimes i love doing it and sometimes it bores me. i have no intentions of sticking to any sort of proper upload schedule (if that wasnt already apparent lmao) so if i post a song, then i post a song. at some point i may make a bandcamp or soundcloud to put up some finished stuff i dont feel like making videos for. who knows! well see.
as for some potential faqs:
are you making a crazy robo cover?:
yes! ive made the midi and have been working on tuning it and making harmonies. its in a far enough along state. i want it to have a nice video like the gamma cover however, so most of the wait will be because of that. but rest assured that it does exist in some form.
are you going to cover more sodikken songs?:
probably not! the only ones id even want to cover are people eater and ムダな君. and even then, theres other songs i want to cover more. hansel was a really fun project but i dont see myself covering more of their work other than those two.
will you ever make your instrumentals/midis public?:
ehhh maybe? most of my instrumentals i either just find on youtube or use some vocal removal website. midis probably not just because theyre probably not made in the most conventional way and wouldnt lend themseleves well to being used by other people. if people wanted to use a midi i made to cover something with vocaloid or something theyd probably look at my shoddy job and question their sanity lol. my midis work for chipspeech and alter ego only pretty much.
will you ever use other voice synths?:
ive tried and failed multiple times at using the myriad virtual singer and would love to actual cover something with that beast one day. hes a little unruly to use but i love his voice so im willing to sacrifice. other than that, i have some passing interest in utau but pretty much only for defoko. what can i say, i like the crunch!

so anyways hello subscribers. sorry for being cringe and not posting anything for like months now LOL working on covers has been weird. ive been able to actually make the covers and be happy with them but when it comes to making art for thumbnails (which i hold myself to rather high standards for) i struggle with. but, one thing i wanna do this year is work on getting out at the LEAST 1 cover a month. and i do have one ready actually, im gonna post a BRAND NEW cover this week!! :DDD so thats hype!!
and a quick disclaimer, since i know many of you subbed to me because of the gamma cover: i suppose dont expect that to be the standard? i mostly do cover work, not original songs. i do still occasionally make original lyrics for things (wink wink....working on the crazy robo cover still lmao) but mostly i just like making covers with chipspeech because i like the voices. so i guess if your expectations are leaning towards what the gamma cover was, i might not be what you're looking for. i like chipspeech and will use it for whatever purposes i choose :]
