One mistake my younger self made in the faith was thinking that the love of Christ was a feeling. During hard times and low moments, I wanted to feel loved by God to find encouragement. But as I matured, I realized that the love of God is not something you feel—it’s something you know.
Whether I feel loved or not, I must know that God loves me. Whether I fall or stand, I must know that God loves me. This assurance becomes my confidence in the low and lonely seasons of life. God has already demonstrated His love—not just for me but for the entire world—through Christ Jesus.
