Case update:
We have comments asking about the case involving an off-duty police officer in New Mexico who killed two people and seriously injured another victim. Brandon Barber has taken a plea deal in his case.
Barber pleaded guilty to two counts of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, a third count of great bodily harm by vehicle while driving under the influence, and a fourth count to an open container being in his car at the time of the crash.
Barber’s attorney said his client wanted to bring closure to, not only the victim’s family, but to his own family as well.
He will be sentenced in February of this year.

Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies announced Thursday her office will file criminal charges in the Rust film set shooting.
The district attorney says star and producer Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins.
