My wild edibles book is now available as an audiobook on Audible and beyond. Give it a listen this winter while it’s cold out and prep yourself for next foraging season staring in May 2024. P.S. while this book is meant for North America, I’ve personally found many of these plants in 66 countries (Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland and a few other places. πŸ™Œ

Seconds after my baby boy was delivered, our eyes locked for the first time and I saw both myself and God in him. Then I knew that these two things are one in the same and I cried the sweetest tears of joy because my life was forever changed.

We are all spiritual beings. I suspect billions of parents already know what I’m saying. But I learned this lesson once and for all on Monday December 11, 2023 at 7:37 am.

Welcome to this world Theodore Ellis Boutenko! 🐣

This one’s for all the biscuits. I’m quitting YouTube (full-time content creation specifically). My new video explains why. πŸŽ₯

I’m leading two wild edibles walks in Jacksonville, Oregon this June. 🌿

In between writing, filming, audiobook recording, greenhouse building, farming, dog training and husbanding, this may be it for 2023. βš™οΈ

Both these walks will sell out, so if you want to join, I recommend signing up soon. Last year we found/studied 30+ plants. 2023 is shaping up to be as good or better! πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ

It’s been about 10 years since I’ve been on a podcast and @nathanmaingard (from the We Are Already Free podcast) was able to convince me to come out of retirement. 😜 We had a great conversation about being vegan vs. eating meat. Give it a listen if you like.

Link: nathanmaingard.com/podcast/sergei-boutenko-raw-veg… or you can go to Spotify and search: β€œWe Are Already Free podcast.” I also want to shoutout @davidavocadowolfe who gave me some good life advice which I still follow today.

We didn’t reach 500 likes on my turkey post, but I want to do a livestream anyway!

I'm going live on YouTube on Saturday March 4th at 10:00AM PST to host my first #AMA (ask me anything). Fire your most-burning questions at me or hangout in the background and watch others do it. πŸš€

Livestream link: youtube.com/live/ESxTPJ4qDWw.

Let's try to keep this as civilized and human as possible. πŸ™

My Trager turkey reel upset some people, which was not my intention. Several folks tried to start trouble in the comments and DM’s. I’m not really interested in having a vegan vs. non-vegan debate in the comment section of any social media platforms. Because text doesn’t convey emotion well and thus, the likelihood of offending/getting offended is great.

However, if there’s enough interest, I’m happy to schedule an AMA (ask me anything) on YouTube and dialog about diet, nutrition and beyond in a civilized manner.

Let me know where you stand by liking this post. If it gets 500+ likes, I’ll put in the necessary effort to host a quality live stream. πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€

My friend Eric Novisedlak made a short film about the 2022 Gravel Hugger bike race near Mt Shasta, California. The project turned out the be many things, including a memorial for a young lady that was tragically murdered a few weeks after the event. Life is short and unpredictable and beautiful and incredibly sad. RIP Mo Wilson: https://youtu.be/YEvF4Ir-K2c
