It's that time! What should we discuss this week?
The Deadline to submit for the competition is rapidly approaching!!!!
In this competition, all genres and styles are welcome!
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 submissions:
🥇1st Place = Two Free E-books (from my website) + 1 Free Private Lesson

🎹 The Prompt for this month's competition is: "The excitement of starting a new journey"
Submissions will be graded on the following (ranked from most to least important):
1. How effectively does the music capture the mood/vibe of the prompt?
2. Compositional craft (Overall quality of the melody, arrangement, etc.)
3. Creative Use of Musical Gestures (How interesting/original is your use of music, for the vibe?)
4. Mix Quality (Used mostly as a tie-breaker, as needed)
📢Directions for participating are below, read through them carefully so you don't accidentally disqualify yourself!
1. Make sure you're subscribed to this YouTube Channel! (Only subscribers will have their music reviewed)
2. Compose a short piece of music that captures the mood/vibe of the prompt (maximum of 90 seconds long, with a strict 5-second grace. Pieces longer than 95 seconds will be disqualified).
3. Upload your music to YOUTUBE and tag @tabletopcomposer and/or use #tabletopmusiccomp to help me find your video.
4. In the description of your video, write a short description of the different strategies you used to portray the prompt with your music (help me understand your approach/thought process!)

The use of AI to compose your music goes against the spirit of this competition and is strictly prohibited. You are more than welcome to use AI as a tool for researching and studying musical genres/styles, or for generating ideas/inspiration. However, all aspects of your music (e.g., chords, melodies, arrangements, etc.) should be 100% original to the composer. After all, this is a channel dedicated to teaching you how to write your own music :)
