Okay sorry it took so long, I ran into some life problems including an ADHD diagnosis in the meanwhile... BUT THE VIDEO IS FINALLY OUT!
An update on how to install Unity on the Steam Deck and start making games, and it's REALLY easy now!

Oh hey it actually worked. And it runs the game too! Just need to format the steamdeck now

Good news! I think I've found a way forward to get Unity working on the Steam Deck again. It's a bit hacky but should be more robust than the previous solution, plus I've learned a little more and can give some more complete instructions on the VS Code side so that it works even when VS Code gets updated in the future... hopefully...
This has, and probably always will be the problem with Linux. Because everything is disconnected and everyone kind of works in their own little silo there is no one fullproof way of doing things. For Steam Deck, Discovery (which is just a GUI for Flatpak) should resolve this problem but the quality of the software on there is only as good as the free time of the developers that put the software on that store.
Anyway... I'm working hard to try and get a reproducable method and once that's done I'll flash my SD and make a video on how to install again to replace the old one.

Look... I don't make posts often, but when I do, it's because it's important. My latest video is doing incredibly well and I just want to thank @mkbhd for the inspiration on it.
This is a very important conversation to have in the tech world and I'm really happy to be able to contribute to it. The fact that it turned into some of my best work should speak volumes about how much I like this new wave of AI-assisted work.

Welp, it happened. The channel blasted past 500 subs over a week ago and community posts got unlocked! (With a massive delay, but beggers can't be choosers right?)
Been on holiday this week and that will continue next week as well, then I'll get back to videos. Have the concept for the next one made and will get to recording it ASAP.
