This has been my home for April 2024. ʟᴀ ᴠᴀʟᴇɴᴄɪᴀɴᴀ is a beautiful villa located on the Indonesian island of Bali, not far from the hustle and bustle but quiet enough to feel like you’re a million miles away.
This new song is inspired by my friends. It’s for them. And it’s for everyone else.
It’s for the ones who have built their life up from nothing to be where they are today.
It’s for the ones who found a lifelong partner and are raising beautiful children together.
It’s for the ones who have taken a chance and found success by following the path ahead.
It’s for the ones who are still finding their way and discovering who they are and what they want.
Somehow, no matter who we are or where we are from, we’re all tangled up in this mysterious life.
This song was a little harder to write than the first two and the video took so many more days to come together but I love this song and am so happy there was a piano and an organ out at @possumparkmiles that I could use during my time there. I think it’s one of my favourite songs I have ever written.

I’m not really sure where this song came from, but there have been many conversations over the last year or so with strangers, fans and also people close to me which have made me realise more and more that every single person goes through some pretty rough times at different stages in our lives.
I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been through horribly low moments at some point and felt completely lost and alone and found it impossible to find a way forward.
This song is for all of us who have been there and for anyone who is there right now. In the middle of the storm, find the strength to carry on and come on home.
Sometimes I get high on life or love and I disappear into some kind of emotional Xanadu for a while. I love these seasons. Where everything is possible. And anything can happen. And then, for whatever reason, it’s gone. It’s hard to come down from that high place. I’m still working on it.
This new demo is a sad one. But it’s beautiful. (I promise to write at least one happy song this year…)

This has been my home for January 2024. Kohu Cottage is nestled in along the Whanganui River in New Zealand’s North Island. There is no phone connection or internet, just the surrounding peace and quiet and the opportunity to completely disconnect from the outside world.
Kohu means mist in Māori. Kohu was also the name of the original owner, you can glimpse a photo of her above the fireplace in the video.
I spent the days reading books, playing guitar, walking along the river road and soaking up the hum of nature around me. This video is my little postcard from Kohu Cottage and the soundtrack is the song I wrote while I stayed here. It is just a little demo version for now but someday it will be recorded properly and released everywhere.

Running Out Of Time comes out this Friday.
This is my favourite new song 🤍 I don’t really know where it came from, but I love it so much. Every time I sing it, there are deep emotions coming to the surface (maybe you saw me cry in a livestream sometime..) I really feel it. It kind of feels like a story that might come true someday.
Running Out Of Time is about meeting someone and having an undeniable connection, spending so much time together and still feeling like you don’t have enough time but just trying to soak up every moment along the way and follow where it goes in the coming days/weeks/months/years/decades.
