My purpose is to educate, empower, and encourage.
As a college professor, I believe education (formal and informal) is paramount for a successful life, but keep in mind that each person's idea of success is different. Success for one person may mean completing a course of study, while for another it may mean weight loss, and for another it may mean finally starting a blog. Whatever it means to you, I hope to encourage, empower, and educate you to help with your success.
I’ve been an educator for over three decades, and my area of expertise is communication. This encompasses oral (public speaking and storytelling), interpersonal (conflict coaching, active listening, interviewing, team work), intrapersonal (self-monitoring, self-esteem), and business and technical (cover letters, resumes, email messages, reports) communication.
I believe that when we are mindful and reflective and when we are open to learning, we will begin to advance towards the life we imagine for ourselves.
